Help For Digestive Problems

We are treated with a guest article about digestive problems.  Holly Haden gives great tips on what foods to eat to help with digestion, many being herbs.  She explains how digestion works and how enzymes are so important for gut health.

I'm sure you will enjoy the article and gain valuable info if you are having digestion issues.
Digestion is the means by which the food we eat gets broken down into nourishment and energy. The specific purpose of our digestive tract is to fulfill this specific purpose in order to keep our body's functionality at its maximum. The most common digestive problems include slow digestive system and inadequate enzyme digestive levels.

These enzymes break down polymeric macromolecules into their smaller building blocks. This can be found on both humans and animals in the digestive tract to aid in the digestion of food as well as inside cells such as their Lysosomes.

Within the small intestines, the Jejunum and Ileum secretes a juice called 'succus entericus' that contains the following types of enzymes:

• Sucrase, which breaks down sucrose into glucose and fructose
• Maltase, which breaks down maltose into glucose.
• Isomaltase, which breaks down maltose and isomaltose
• Lactase, which breaks down lactose into glucose and galactose

If and when any of these enzymes are not on its adequate level, we get what is commonly known as Digestive Problems.

Comparison of Pop A Green® and Pop A Purple® and Juice Plus® Garden Blend and Orchard Blend

Comparison of Pop A Green® and Pop A Purple® with
Juice Plus® Garden Blend and Orchard Blend

I've had requests to show the comparisons of Whole Food Nation's Pop A Purple® and Pop A Green® with Juice Plus® Garden Blend and Orchard Blend because these are both supplements sourced from whole foods.

Both are primarily whole food dietary supplements designed to provide nutrition from whole fruits and vegetables, rather than from isolated vitamins and minerals. But there are some big differences.

What’s your first reaction?

  1. Look at the Pops box and the Juice Plus (JP) bottle side by side: Are you drawn to one more than the other?
  2. Sniff Test: Compare Pop A Green with JP Garden and Pop a Purple with JP Orchard and Vineyard. Open the Pops box and take a whiff. Then open the Juice Plus bottle and take a whiff.  What do you think?
  3. Fact: Doctors will allow patients in hospitals to take the Pops because each capsule is individually packaged in a blister pack, unlike capsules in a bottle.
  4. Comparison of ingredients
  1. Detailed comparison of Pop A Green with Juice Plus Garden Blend.
  2. Detailed comparison of Pop A Purple with Juice Plus Orchard Blend.
The Juice Plus Vineyard Blend is a third bottle that was added to the original Garden and Orchard pair, many years later. One would have to purchase 3 bottles to benefit from it.
Below are the number of vegetables, cruciferous veggies, fruits, berries, digestive enzymes, friendly flora and fiber ingredients in both products, compiled from the labels.
