Foods That Inhibit Estrogen


Some foods are good sources of natural estrogens. There are some foods that inhibit estrogen. Knowing how your food affect the estrogen metabolism is an important part of managing menopause and PMS.

  1. Thank you so much for this information. I have estrogen induced breast cancer(cured) but do not want to take tamoxifen. I want to decrease estrogen more naturally. I will be having a hysterectomy to take out my ovaries. I am 66

    I had severe bleeding issues caused by too much estrogen. After hearing I needed surgery and bleeding for over 70 days, I read that estrogen can be reduced and symptoms can be reduced by changing your diet and losing weight. After only 3 days of eating only foods that inhibit estrogen, the bleeding completely stopped. The lining of my uterus also thinned and I have no more estrogen dominance problems. I hope you try to eat foods that can effect your estrogen level before getting surgery--you might save yourself so much trouble, and feel great!! Good luck!

  3. i have small breasts and ive over heard estrogen is good to get bigger breasts.. if I start eating foods with estrogen could i be in risk of getting breast cancer or something bad?
