A poll by Veterinary Pet Insurance revealed that 96% of animal guardians take their companions to the vet at least once a year. Compare that to a survey done by the Center for Disease Control, which found that only 83% of adults visited a health care professional in a year.
I am very prompt with taking my pets in for checkups. I have a wonderful holistic clinic so it's always a wellness check. I guess this is one reason my dear sweet Tara lived to be 18-years-old.
I do try to go in for wellness checks for myself but I have to admit it doesn't always happen. I believe in preventive and sustaining health so I never need to see a doctor for illness.
